WHOLE KIDS FOUNDATION SCHOOL GARDEN GRANT PROGRAM, Deadline: October 31.

Grants of $2K to public and private K-12 schools in the United States, UK, and Canada to help fund school garden projects. Garden projects may be at any stage of development (planning, construction, or operation). Priority will be given to both limited-resource communities and to projects that demonstrate strong buy-in from stakeholders and the ability to financially sustain the garden.

AARON COPLAND FUND FOR CONTEMPORARY AMERICAN MUSIC, Deadline: October 31.

Project-specific and general support to nonprofit organizations with a history of substantial commitment to contemporary American music. The fund’s purpose is to encourage and improve public knowledge and appreciation of contemporary American music. Projects with a broad spectrum of American music will be viewed more favorably than those with a single work or composer.

Archiving and preservation grants will support efforts that focus on the music and recorded sound heritage of the Americas.
